Welcome to the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Lab at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO). Our lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of infectious diseases and vaccine development through cutting-edge computational and systems biology approaches.

Principal Investigator
Dr. Mohamed Helmy
VIDO BioInfo lab is led by Dr. Mohamed Helmy, a computational systems biologist at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO), University of Saskatchewan. He joined VIDO in 2023 to establish a research group focused on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology applications in vaccine and infectious diseases. His research interests are highly interdisciplinary including computer science, biomedical sciences, public health and immunology, with a special focus in software tools and database systems development.
